He is a great centreback.
Our manager doesn't agree with your view. Albiol was a regular starter during 2009/2010* season(43 matches). Mourinho didn't rate him but he played 74 matches under his management.

Albiol didn't became suddenly shit. He was a starter and he proved himself that year, then the manager changed and Mourinho brought his own players.
He was the same, Mourinho didn't like him since day one.

IMO you can't compare a player who has 50 champions league appearances with Madrid and Valencia and 40 Spain caps to a player who have done nothing in football(only two good seasons in a midtable team). Different class.
I'm sure that most people that actually talk about him haven't seen him play regularly so they assume: spanish defender = should be crap.
Anyway, I'm not saying it's your case.

He will be ok at Napoli.

I know how good Albiol was and he might even come good in Napoli, we'll see, but he was below average at Madrid last two years. He was the weakest chain on the pitch whenever he would play and opposition were regularly targeting him.
