Just seen the aquisitions on ESPN and Rafa does seem to have bought well in Albiol, Reina,Callejon, Armero and Higuain.

My money would still be on Juve for next year, especially with Llorrente and Tevez added.

Be interesting though as you say and think Milan could have a good season especially is Mario continues his form since Jan.

Don't believe that the Italian league is back to where it was yet..but definitely moving in the right direction. Although, one of the Italian teams will probably prove me wrong in Europe

I'm not so sure we are moving in the right direction...
right direction is improve revenue with better stadium etc
what is happening is 4 team: Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina and Napoli spending a lot of money betting they can reach a UCL spot and get money from that, unfortunately we only have 3 spot and one is for Juventus.

Yeah suppose so. I personally love the Italian grounds but there has not been much money invested in the majority of them it seems since the 1990 World cup. San Siro is probably my favourite ground.
Do you not think it will be competitive at the top (apart from Juve if were assuming they will win it) with Milan, Napoli, Fiorentina and Roma?

serie a is defo on it's way back up.

cycles, my friend... everything rolls in cycles.

Will probably correspond with La Liga being on it's way back down, apart from the big 2 there. The way the revenues are split among the clubs is going to be the death of the league imo. Starting this season, every Premier league team will be getting around £80 million in tv revenue - in Spain, every team in the bottom half of the table got less than 15 million euros. Barca and Madrid both get like 140 million euros.

They'll be able to use that old Slurgie line about not being able to see each other!

They are putting together a very strong team and have a very shrewd manager in Benitez. They are very capable of knocking any team out in the Champions League provided they get a manageable group. Serie A is slowly, but surely regaining it's place.

Is serie A really bad outside Italy?

I think after the World Cup win in 2006 peoples views have declined because of the scandal mainly. I think people have looked more favourably on the premier league and La liga as the two strongest leagues since then, and now the German league after last year.
off the top of my head I can only think of AC Milan (2007) and Inter (2010) who have made the final or won the champions league since 2006 with the Inter one possibly put down to the Mourinho factor.

As I say now people are regaining confidence, as Napoli and Juve in particular have both been playing well.
