I also think it makes a big difference to Silvas game if he has Nasri on the park. They are on the same wave length.
I disagree - I think it worked famously, for one game, against Spurs at WHL. Since then its been more of a dilemma putting them in the same side because they're just far too similar. Not a hugely different problem to putting De Bruyne in the same side either. We've now got 3 number 10s who can all make good cases for having that position, and whilst it's nice to put more of them in, you're compromising their strengths putting them anywhere other than straight up the middle. Next season De Bruyne should be the main 10, use Silva more sparingly now his ankle is probably completely ruined, Nasri should be moved on in favor of an upgrade on Navas. A fast wide right player but one that can score goals and maintain balance to the side. I think talk of us rotating him, De Bruyne and Silva are crazy and will only result in someone being very unhappy.
Nasri's strengths IMO were always his connection with Yaya. Many of us thought perhaps he had a future at CM seeing as Silva has been the better 10 in both their times here, but then he got injured and became the forgotten man, and its sounding fairly likely Yaya won't be here next season anyway. It's a shame as I think he's a great footballer, but one good game and and a goal doesn't suddenly secure his future here.
