I wouldn't say 'fool' at all actually. As much as I love and respect De Jong, Zab is not that far off when it comes to destroying opponents play and supplying that first line of defence. Zab is aso a much better passer.
de jong is one of, if not the best defensive midfielders in the world.

don't bite - its surely not for real
Whew! Thanks for that.

The only logic i can see that Le Arse hold him for a bit longer is that Nasri is ot transferred before the Udinese game next week that way he serves his suspension and is clear to play all our CL games

Probably cost us a few million but hey ho - personally cant see it but just a though - still wont happen anytime soon

that will cup tie him, no?

No he will still be eligable to play - if if he plays in the second leg and Le Arse get knocked out he can still play for us - if Le Arse go through he is then cup tied

Essentially his one match ban will follow him regardless of what team he plays for - he is in Le Arse CL squad but cant play next week - suspension served - he aint played for Le Arse so if he moves then his suspension is served and he is still eligable

Hmmm...I would have thought that if he was on the CL squad, serving a suspension would have the same affect as playing since he served it as an Arsenal player.

been told by a reliable source Nasri is booked in at bridgewater for a medical.
but its next week !

to be cup tied you have to make an appearance - simply being included in the CL squad does not constitute being cup tied - Nari is in Le arse CL squad but cannot be selected because he is suspended - once his suspension is over he can then be selected for the 2nd leg - if he is selected for the CL squad and plays amy part in the game if Le Arse go through and beat Udinese he is effectively cup tied - what people dont realise is that they changed the rules last year such that if Le Arse get beat by Udinese Nasri is NOT cup tied - this rules applies only in the preliminary rounds not in the main competition

still dont think he will join - this is John Terry all over again
