Sorry didn't realise my post count was an indication of my intelligence.

If you would prefer I could stick yo posting GIFs and formations looks like that is the only type of crap on here that doesn't get any stick.

A question was asked and I replied and then gave my opinion on the matter, apologies but I thought that was what a transfer FORUM (An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.) was about.

my understanding of the situation is that the valuation gap between the 2 parties is a lot more than £2M, more like £10M

Would love to know who your source is,if thats true !!!

initally it was only paper talk mate, they officially moved for him yesterday and sorted it!!! i know wenger is also a stumbling block but hopefully its coming to an end shortly.

I reckon it's a done deal but it makes sense to not sign Nasri until Wednesday, that we he's not cup tied for us in CL and only misses the Swansea game.

The fee is no longer the stumbling block. Believe it or not, Nasri cannot read english so we have an administrator using google translator to translate the contract from English to French so it is legible to him. He also has dyscalcula but is more than able at counting the 000000's on his contract.
I would assume anyone would wish to have a contact translated into their native language or atleast a moratorium of understanding

Arsenal are clearly dragging their heels over this so there is obviously a stumbling block.

I think City are probably much more hard bargaining now than when the ADUG takeover first happened. Must be hardballing on the fee.

The pressure is on Arsenal; we can wait two weeks but after that they lose him for nothing.

Arsenal are in a no win position !! If they don't take our bid we stand up and walk away and just say to Nasri on the way out see you next summer and we will have a nice big fat signing on fee for you.

This could really backfire though.if arsenal lost wenger wouldn't be in a position to sell him,or at the very least the price would increase.

Nasri will sign for City AFTER the Newcastle game. Arsenal won't want the distractioin of selling players before then.

And after Nasri, just two more to come...

how does that make it LESS likely for him to be cup tied?

Where we are upto is terms have been agreed with Nasri, we are stumbling on the fee around 2 mill short, once that is sorted he will sign.

It will prob be sorted by end of play today I would think.

ps, that is a round up of all the newspapers, hints, snippets and all the other shit that has been posted before anybody starts asking for links, shortcuts and sources.

how does that make it LESS likely for him to be cup tied?

because he is suspended for his first European game, no matter who he plays for. What Murph is trying to say is let him miss Udinese for Arsenal rather than potentially Barcelona for us.

I do not have "a source" as such (unlike a lot of the supposedly well connected folk on here), I just know a journo and he speaks to other journos and that is what he has been led to believe - basically City do not want to go over £20M and Arsenal do not want to accept less than £30M; whether this is true or not I do not have a clue, it is just what he believes and may explain why the saga is dragging on

think he means banned for our first CL game. If he wouldn't be available for the Swansea game anyway, it makes some sense, however, Mancini may prefer to just get him in and settled ASAP.

Suppose if all the agreements were there and they just didn't bother to register it till after Arsenal's game, Nasri can get on with moving his life to Manchester ready for Wednesday and we get him for the CL game. With us playing on Monday, Mancini wouldn't want to be distracted by Nasri's arrival then and I assume the team won't be training on Tuesday, so it's possible, if Arsenal play ball.

I assume we are haggling and why wouldn't we. Nasri has 1 year left on his contract, has made it clear he wants to leave Arsenal, by all accounts he wants to come to us and it doesn't look like there is any other club in for him. They aren't really in a strong position to piss us about.

Nowhere did he mention it was fact. He said 'think' and that it was a round up of everything being posted here and elsewhere. If you can only post facts that you have proof for, I suggest they shut this site down, as it'll be like the Mary Celeste by the end of the day.

I assume we will get him, just not maybe as quickly as some assume - as you say they are most likely haggling, and haggling takes time
