If Tevez stays and the Nasri deal happens it will be so hard to choose an 11 .....Dzeko does not deserve to be dropped but he may have to be ....

HART

RICHARDS KOMPANY LESCOTT CLICHY

NASRI DEJONG YAYA SILVA

AGUERO TEVEZ

SUBS NEW KEEPER, KOLAROV, ZAB, MILNER, BALO, DZEKO, AJ.

Not in squad BARRY SAVIC TAYLOR KOLO BRIDGE, SWP, NEDUM, BOYATA, GIUDETTI, RSC, SUAREZ, NIMLEY, WEISS, BELLERS, ADEBAYOR ..... at least 6 of these are on way out

That looks great on paper, but is it a balanced team? You are gonna get Silva and Nasri to do far more defending and play deeper than you would like to. Also i have doubts about Yaya toures defensive work in a 2 man midfield. he's an impressive player on the ball, but off the ball, he doesnt seem to be that mobile or that hungry to put on a defensive shift
Don't you think you have to be more worry about Wenger's unbalanced and low quality squad first?

Haha :)

agree with yaya in a 2 man midfield - constantly see him letting his man run past him and not chase the ball cos he's blowing out his arse after a 30 yard run
Thank you....it seems some people here take every tactical criticism as an attack on the team. The reason why Mancini had to bring in Barry against Man u is the midfield was totally overrun. De Jong is a beast. i just dont think Toure next to him is gonna work against the better teams. He cant do a job in the re for 90 mins as he doesnt have the stamina and mobility

Do you think Nasri could slide back into a supporting holding midfielder position like Barry?

I'm not sure if he's defensively disciplined enough but Arsenal fans seem complementary of his defensive workrate.

When are people going to realise that Barry is not a holding midfielder? That's De Jong. At Villa he had the licence to get forward, and likewise at City, de Jong holds, while he roams his area of the pitch. Often getting out of position.

Barry is a CM, just so happens he's good in the tackle, but if you observe him he's far from that.

I don't see why you're worrying. Nasri would be like Milner playing for Barry, but better.

People always want to say that Nasri's best position is the centre, I disagree but for our system a ball carrier in the center is just what we need. Not to mention Nasri tracks back and likes to win balls back. Is he as solid in defense as Barry? No. Is he useless? Absolutely not.

Can anybody say with any certainty what Nasri's best position is? Because I suspect we have bought him for one reason and one reason only, as cover for Silva. When Silva doesn't play we're totally devoid of ideas, this has been proven true time and time again over the last 12 months. I think Mancini has realised just how precarious a situation that is and has sought to address it with the purchase of Nasri, who I believe, like Silva, plays best centrally in the hole linking the midfield and attack.

It will be impossible to accommodate all the best attackers at our disposal with Silva, Nasri, Yaya and de Jong all playing in the midfield.

I believe in the "players to fit the system" school of thought.

You mean like Nasri is going to sitt on the bench? Nah...not that kind of cover.

But with Nasri in the team....i think he will play alongside Silva but if Silva isn't in the line-up...and Nasri is. Then there is creativity on the pitch.

hes a different type of player to silva though

Nasri isn't simply cover. He is a completion of a squad in need of a balanced attack. Having two creative players isn't a luxury, it's a necessity. We can't compete against Barcelona or Real Madrid with a single playmaker against the likes of Ozil, Ronaldo, Iniesta and Xavi.
