Nasri [Merged] continued.

History is a poor last ditch argument thrown at us by clubs who are stuck/ going backwards as we overtake them, it's also an awful argument to use against City.

As much as I hate them the rags don't harp on about history half as much as Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs(haha) because they're still winning things and are successful.

Do you think they are having our pants down for £25mill when you consider the fee for Fabregas?

I mean how much would you be paying if he had 3 years left on his contract?

Personally I think Sneijder might be the better option then get Nasri for nothing in 12 months.

If he had 3 years left on his contract, Arse wouldn't sell for less than £40m.

The premium comes from the fact that they're a rival and we're rich. Rags apparently bid £20m and Arse didn't even consider it.

when he will want the rags after him

Sneijders wages and fee would cost upwards of 80. Compared to Nasri close to 65. It's a good deal if you must buy one of the two.

Manchester City hope to complete Samir Nasri's switch to the Etihad Stadium before the weekend as they continue to haggle with Arsenal over the structure of the deal.

The clubs are very close to agreeing a compromise fee of around £22million after Arsenal demanded £25million for the wantaway star and the Blues offered £20million.

They are now negotiating on the timetable for the payment of the transfer fee with the Gunners wanting as much as possible up front.

City have prepared a five-year deal, believed to be worth around £160,000-a-week for the Frenchman, and do not anticipate any problems in agreeing personal terms.
Nasri is due to undergo his medical in Manchester, which is expected to take place at the private Bridgewater clinic, and it is believed he has already flown up from London.

Nasri's imminent arrival will take Roberto Mancini's spending to a staggering £225million since he took over in December 2009.

Mancini is keen to wrap up Nasri's move as quickly as possible and is disappointed negotiations have dragged on into the new season.
