I think that the fact that Nasri has not committed to Arsenal by signing a new contract (he has not even said that he hopes a deal can be sorted out), has not spoken out publicly about his future, leaves me to believe that he is on his way. I can`t remember Yaya, Balo, Silva etc speaking about joining City before they left their clubs. I think City tell them to keep stum and not say a word.

He isn't trying to get a different player for his position he's there for variety. He could drop Barry whenever he likes & put Yaya there already without having to sign Nasri ,yet he chooses to play Barry in all the big games. Nasri gives him the option of sometimes playing a different type of player there in place of barry or Nige or resting Silva or he can play wide. It's a squad game.

if he dropped barry for yaya there wouldnt be anyone to fill yaya role though

If you were playing an attacking team & dropping Barry, then you're saying Barry's role is redundant therefore Yaya, like Nasri, would play an attacking role & deJong would be the lone grafter in midfield. No way on earth would Nasri do Barry's job, he's an attacking, not a defensive midfielder therefore, Bob could have Yaya in place of Barry now & only use one def midfielder.

Bob prefers to have Barry there for all the big games though. Bob signing Nasri gives him the option of playing a more attack minded team when it suits him. Not every game though. He'll still use Barry, often.

no i dont but i am entitled to a personal opinion and that is what i stated - but Le Arse will know what Nasri feeling are - if he had made it absolutely clear that he was not singing a new contract under any circumstances then Le Arse would punt him out and would have done it well before now - they wont let another Flamini situation happen again.

They aint and that can be for only one reason and that is because they must believe that they have a chance of keeping him.

When Le Arse want to pum players they do so quickly Kolo - Manu - Clichy - Eboue - Dennilson etc this deal aint happening quckly because somebody dont want it too

And before someone says this a multimilion pound complex deal - it no more feckin complex thna Robiniho which was done in less than one day

Let's look at the facts, not the fiction.

1. Nasri has refused to sign a new contract with Arsenal, even though it's been on the table for the last 12-18 months.

2. Rasher Chops has stated that they enquired about Nasri but it was a no go; someone was already in for him.

3. Wenger does not want to let him go, so much that he now looks like he wants to top himself. He still does not know if he's going.

4. We are the only team confirmed as being in for him, having talks and nearing contracts.

Do you honestly think we are being played and is it that the Rag Tops (French as well) have got to you?
