There is clearly something not going well with the deal or it would have been done a week or so ago. Whether it has broken down beyond repair is a different matter I suppose. If we haven't signed him by Wednesday it'll be off imo because I reckon Wenger will play him against Udinese at that point and we'll probably then look elsewhere in a hurry.

Theoretically if it did break down, which I still think is unlikely, who is left? Mata got snapped up by Chelsea by all reports. Inter has said Sneijder will not move.

Slightly different situation though. Am I right in saying that Arsenal charge the highest prices in world football? Certainly they cannot be far off. Expecting fans to pay those prices whilst selling off top players and replacing them with kids on the cheap is just asking too much especially given the economy etc.

i read in four four two that it was hundred quid a seat! and our fans moan bout 30 quid seats!

As weird as it sounds its not the same. What angers me is what I have been hearing for months that the board do not wanna spend money and we have been taken over by a guy who says he knows nothing about football and is here to make a profit. Not once has Kroenke come out and talked to the fans and explained what his intentions with the club is. We pay the highest tickets in the world and the last 15 years we have spend on players as much as we have sold for. When we the fans ask where the money is going, we get told to get on with it.

Arsenal will be last seasons liverpool. The frustration from the fans is more than the media let you on and I expect to see protests and ugly scenes to be seen very soon. The club is rich as hell, but the board wanna keep the money for themselves, thats worse than when your club is poor and you know the people at the top is doing their best with the resources they have
