Udinese game turned out to be quite convenient for us, but well played Mancini and the negotiating team for exploiting it.

Yawn.

He is being a professional footballer. Boardning the plane means fuck all. We would still have 24 hours to sign him before he could be cup tied.

By boarding that plane he is effectively saying to City pay up or i will play for Arsenal and risk being cup tied and risk a potential transfer to City for 3 people whom want 1 million each for less than 3 weeks work one of whom is his father.

Boarding that plane means the his father getting wonga overrides everything else and that is true facts of the situation

Professional footballer my arse

By boarding the plane he is being a professional, does not mean he will play, lets face it the gunners aint looked too clever first few matches, so as a squad member just to have him there with the team will help them as they try to defend there lead, personally i think the deal is dead as i was told that last week all problems were sorted and he was meant to be on his way last week, wether its down to the player, agents or anything else not so sure but i guess from an arsenal prospective then if they get beat and go out tomorrow then its gonna cost them far more than the said 25mil we were supposedly paying for him, get the feeling will will prob make a sanchez like annonucement anytime soon though, still its not like were despearate for him is it

then again as always like city it changes by the second, get in there.

Nasri trained with Arsenal at their London Colney base on Tuesday morning
Samir Nasri will travel with Arsenal to Italy for Wednesday's Champions League tie against Udinese, BBC London reports.

Manchester City have been in talks to sign the midfielder and their manager Roberto Mancini said on Sunday he hoped to complete the deal within 48 hours.

If Nasri faces Udinese he will be ineligible to play for City in the Champions League group stages.

The 24-year-old appeared for Arsenal in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Liverpool.

He also trained with the Gunners on Tuesday before they prepared to fly out to Italy for the second leg of their play-off match.
