Nasri out for three weeks, apparently.

I never wish injury on anyone, but nasris absence is good news as we will continue to build our midfield around our two main attacking assets; silva and yaya. Having Rodwell, Barry and Garcia available allows us to do that.

Samir has successfully completed more passes in the attacking third than any other Premier League player with 63 so far this season.

Against Stoke he covered more ground than any other City player running 5.85 miles.

This post will get ignored because nobody wants facts to get in the way of a good old fashioned bluemoan witch hunt.
He also had the second best passing stats in the whole squad last season and we missed his passing ability on Tuesday and today.

cant wait to get back to the team that won the title hart zabba vk lescot clchy silva yaya barry samir segio teves not been able to picktht one yet for a number f reasons

We will have this sort of thing all season. Nasri is the quintessential hot and cold player. There are games where he is unplayable and truly world class and everyone on here will sing his praises and say stuff like "who needs Silva" etc. then you get games where he just vanishes completely and get people saying stuff like 'he is no big loss". He will never be a consistent player, just have to hope the games he plays in he decides to turn up.

That's the thing, though. When Nasri isn't lighting it up, he isn't necessarily playing terribly. He still completes passes, makes sure we keep possession, and will always create at least some half chances. He consistently contributes even if you really just want him to take over.

When Silva isn't lighting it up, he is giving it away over and over again, and that gets us into trouble.

No notice I said vanishes as in you never hear his name mentioned, he never makes himself available for passes and he just doesn't get stuck in. He is a complete passenger when he has his off days. At least Silva still contributes defensively when he's not playing well.

Big deal for us this. He's the attacking Barry. Recycles possession an awful lot and has a good eye for an assist.
