Samir definitely appears to be a 'marmite' player with a good split of those who like him and those who can't stand him. Personally, I'm in the like him bracket.

On his day his ball retention and distribution was superb but injuries and a reticence to play him has ultimately lead to his downfall.

What really bugs me is the constant references to him being fat (and trust me I KNOW what being fat is!!!)... he probably returned a pound or two over his optimum weight (as I'm sure several players did with a more relaxed fitness regime during the close season) but I dare say there are probably only a handful of posters on here who could even dream of getting anywhere near his bmi and lean-ness. Give the lad his due, he's acknowledged the fact, buckled down and lost the excess pounds but clearly, despite that, he appears not to figure in Pep's plans and we can only bow down to his greater tactical knowledge. Because he doesn't fit into Pep's concept does not make him a crap player!

Nasri, if he's over his injuries, could be a great acquisition for some team and I, for one, wish him all the very best if his future is not to be with us!!!

Wonder what our owner thought when he was sent off v barca..it was a very specific type of i cant be fuckin arsed sending off.

I am a bit overweight but I don't play football to earn money. There is a reason he is the only one signaled out by Pep. He specifically said that everyone else can play the full 90. Pep obviously said that he has lost, but its not been enough to take him to sweden just yet.

Whilst the video doesn't reflect particularly well on Nasri, he's not actually guilty of anything. Accusing him of taking drugs himself is, of course, potentially libellous so please refrain from doing it on here. Can't imagine it will go down well with Guardiola though.

It doesn't matter if he's fat in comparison to the average bloke on the street, Pep's decided that he's so overweight that playing him risks another injury.

And it's clearly not a pound or two because he's been with Pep for 5 weeks now and he's still not allowed to play because of his weight.

All this video shows is Nasri dancing in a nightclub and another shot of him in a car. The rest of the video is interspersed with 'apparent' narcotics on a table, an MTV Cribs type house with half naked people in it, a gold Rolls Royce that looks like it belongs in a Snoop Dog video and NOT ONE of these shots have Nasri anywhere near them!!! You could easily take Nasri out of this video and supplant him with anyone for it to have a similar hyperbole effect. Only an idiot would be fooled into thinking this video had anything to do with Nasri taking drugs!

Like them or loathe them, players like Nasri & Sterling are one of us and as such the last set of people I'd expect to join in with the unfounded vitriol these players are being subjected to are Manchester City fans. Now to add to the crap I've been reading today, there's an Italian football blogger who's now reporting Nasri to 3 Italian clubs and quoting the L'equipe tweet as its source......

Why the fuck our fans paying the slightest attention to this bullshit and also throwing petrol onto the fire is beyond me. Shaking my head in total disbelief.

That blue dream is nice stuff, whoever selected it has a good palate for nice smoke :-D
I think it is blueberry crossed with some form of haze for those who like to know such stuff, may be wrong but seem to remember that being the two crosses used to make this strain.

Err anyway, Nasri is a rotter etc :-D

Always liked nasri, but he's a funny player who can have stunning games but also shockers, suppose at the moment he's more interested in chasing young ladies than his career..

Have the goalposts for his target weight been slightly changed from previous managers' perhaps? Whether they have or not I'm sure it was a relatively small amount he had to lose as he will undoubtedly have continued his own fitness regime during the summer and he seems to have, accepted the criticism and buckled down to meet his new manager's requirements on returning to the club.

I'm sure the weight is not the sole reason he's been made available (if true) but more likely that Pep has other players ear-marked for his position, doesn't think he can play into the formation he favours or simply sees an opportunity to offload a high earner off the payroll.

Doesn't warrant the torrent of abuse he seems to be getting!
