I think the whole issue with Nasri and him being overweight has been blown out of proportion.
He looked out of shape at the back end of last season, which is hardly surprising considering he was injured for 3/4s of the season. Then he's had a holiday so it's hardly surprising that he's not match fit or his weight isn't perfect.
I wouldn't be surprised to see if Pep was testing him. I thought from the start that he was our player most suited to a 'Pep side' and his ability has never been in question. Maybe this is Pep's way of finding out if Nasri has the mentality to succeed user him.
I also think that if Nasri does stay, he won't be used as an attacking midfielder. I can easily see him excelling in a deeper role. His stats show that he has the work rate and his ball retention and dribbling is arguably the best in the squad.
