''HELP''

Apologies if this has already been suggested, I didn't see the older thread.

I'm not sure what you've already tried but if you can attempt this I'd highly suggest it. There's a program called rkill that kills the processes of viruses so you can download and run other anti-malware programs to delete said virus. If you can't download it directly to the infected computer you could try putting it on a flash drive and running it off of that.

Here's the link:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/downloa ... irus/rkill</a>

I used this and it worked perfectly for me. I ran it, installed malwarebytes and the problem was solved. Your computer sounds worse off than mine was so I can't guarantee it'll work but it's worth a shot.

Yes I had the same problem some 2 months ago and it completely fucked my software up.
Thankfully my nephew came and sorted it out and likewise he installed Malware for me.Run it every 4-5 days and update it and been hassle free since.

i'l give that a go later today, this bloody thing wont even let me restore or re format

As someone else said download the anti virus software to a pen drive and try that, if not can you get in to your bios?, if so change the boot order to boot from cd/dvd rom and have your windows disk in the cdrom drive, then reboot the pc, hopefully you should be able to reinstall windows from there.

Give this ago:
<a class="postlink" href="http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-A ... 04572.html</a>

If that doesnt work this always seems to fix the problem:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.combofix.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.combofix.org/</a>

salman remove that link for combofix it is not the official site and could be packed with any old shit.

Go to bleepingcomputer for combofix, NOWHERE else, as its a standalone app when you run it if its from somewhere dodgy they could have packed any shit into that.

also get spybot search and destroy.

Also how did you get here to post if part of the virus is a browser hijacker ? i could do with some more info bud its to vague atm.

No it doesnt have to have modified your master boot record but if it has then you need to install windows recovery console, here run this also post results http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/

If your Computer is completely fucked and you've run out of ideas then get the Professionals in. It's better in the long term.

As long as you don't take it to PC World!!

FFS you might not see it again for 6 weeks like I didn't with mine!
