Trying to enter the Algarve..

That just reads like former Barcelona players will always leave for Barcelona. And makes you and your club look arrogant in the extreme.
Looking at it objectively from a financial and footballing point of view ignoring personal preferences for location or football club in terms of history city are a better option and getting a better option relative to Barcelona more and more over time. We are generally improving each year in terms of squad scouting academy back office staff, rumours of big changes this year new sister clubs etc etc
Arrogant? Comical but not surprised that this aspect of my club is difficult for many to comprehend. Makes you sound bitter
Yet case in point, Pep himself sees himself eventually returning to Barca to coach youth players. Blaugrana, through & through

Forget past quotes from pep mate, the moment he had a pop at Barcelona about going to uefa his time with you is done!

It seems pretty obvious that kids would want to return home/to their parents at some points in their lives. You do sound bitter if you can claim I am being arrogant that Catalan cantera kids would seek an eventual return to the club of their dreams.

Tello was kicked out, came back. Alba kicked out, came back. No chance that the most ideal academy constructed in Manchester could ever hold significance over a Catalan kid coming through La Masia. Even Pep has alluded to it in interviews many times over, City will have to take a long time to develop a culture that sustains itself - Barca have La Masia for more than 4 decades
What you describe as mitigating factors are temporal fluctuations, what is permanent is precisely the culture, history & local significance. You could build a utopia elsewhere but for a local Catalan kid Barca represents a unique dream. Then think of the South American influence at Barcelona, they will always be linked to the region due to language, climate and history. Even for the most blaugrana player ever in Pep, he too will make the pilgrimmage back so yeah absolutely comical
well judging by the pictures of a very attractive lady with Bernardo I think it's obvious what he was doing there !!Really ? Scotland ? Why ? What was Bernardo doing there ?
@FCBarca which part of Catalonia do you originate from exactly ?
I have never claimed to originate from Catalunya
I have never claimed to originate from Catalunya
I didn't say you had, I was presuming from your posts that there had to be a deep lying and emotional attachment with everything Barca.
Don’t you think the likes of Horsfield, Evans, Barker, Brooks and other local City fans would jump at the chance of returning to City, if they were good enough?Didn't Thiago leave Barca and as yet still hasn't realised his dream to return to his motherland?
Ridiculous to think every single player to come through La Masia and leaves, then has an absolute throb on to return at the earliest opportunity
That does not require originating from Catalunya

Oh my mistake, I assumed we were only talking about local fans of the club. Players like Kasper Schmeichel, Brahim Díaz and Jadon Sancho don’t really have that connection and don’t owe the club their careers (not that the local ones do either really). I see what you’re saying. Barca builds and espouses this very mythical, grandiose image of the club in the young kids heads so that may have a lasting impact, that added to the fact a lot of these kids have been in the academy when Barca were the best team in the world under Pep, with the worlds best player coming from that very academy.Absolutely, but every player that's come through the academy? If they had the choice of a couple of clubs? Football at the end of the day a career, you do what's right for your career irregardless of loyalties. That's just my take anyway
