It’s that bad I think he has worded it incorrectly…it’s just blather.

I know from podcasts he thinks we will go for a cheap option rather than a star so I don’t know what that’s about!

We’d be stupid to not get an replacement. Stones is a walking injury and Dias was injured a fair bit last season. Going into the season with three centre backs which have missed a lot of football over the past few years is a big risk to take. Walker can cover, but we’d be taking him away from his best position.

If nothing is possible, then I’d like to see Mbete used as an early substitute in games up to Christmas where we’re ahead. The 5 substitute rule should allow us to hothouse him and players such as McAtee.
