I’d be more concerned Chelsea come back in for him later in the window as they become more desperate. They then may pay what we are asking… just saying

No reason for concerns as we said we would sell at our valuation IF we have a replacement in place,
that will get more unrealistic the later it gets.

Very happy Aké stays, perfect fit for us. Club have a great sense how to still improve the great squad
if Cucurella signs, as expected.

I'm pretty indifferent about it to be honest.

I don't think we'll ever get offered that kind of money for him again, don't think he'll ever be part of a first choice pair, and don't think it affects our season much given he'll likely start half a dozen games outside the domestic cups.

Very true, this time next year you won't get 25m for him, hugely overrated, we overpaid, he is never fit and the drop off to the other 3 CB's is considerable.

Really happy he's staying, injuries aside thought he stepped up in some important games at the end of last season and with the tight program this season I think we'll need him. I don't like the idea of trying to bed someone in this season with this World Cup nonsense and I just can't see us promoting from the academy.

If he is that shit, getting 25m will be brilliant business next summer. Wihich means we are getting him for 10m for next season which is good value.
