Can someone explain how a 100% increase is ridiculous when the minimum win goes up 150%?????

Can see your point but the reasoning is with people struggling for money they are hardly going to double there budget to gamble on the lottery.
Correct, Mrs Undies said she does not care what the new prize money is shes packing it in, shes not even won a tenner for about 2 years

You still have to get the 3 numbers though and if like me you get it twice a year thats a massive loss. I have the same 3 lines so now im going half with my daughter just in case the biggy comes out. I cant drop them as 2 of the lines are ex wife and ex gf. I could just imagine the phone call if one of them came out.

If you played 2 lines before, just play one now.

Fools errand playing the lottery anyway mate.

Exactly.

See my earlier post.

Prefer betting on the football but the problem with the lottery is once you have played your numbers and stuck with them they are playing the what if game.

What if you don't put the lines on and you miss out on millions.

Me and Mrs do 5 lines mostly birthday numbers for both draws and we have decided to only do Saturday draw.

We have a syndicate at work 6 lines for both draws and we have decided to scrap numbers and pick 3 new lines (lucky dip) and have 3 lines for both instead of 6.

Most people will cut down especially with the way finances are at the moment so no gain made and only losses with increase in winnings.

I don't want to panic you ONTHERUN but I remember working in Manchester back in the 1990s about the time when they introduced the mid-week draw. It was around late 1996 I think.

A husband and wife team of cleaners used to come into the office to clean after normal working hours and I always used to get chatty with them. I think they were from the Ancoats area.

One evening they came in really looking down and flat. I asked what was up and he explained that her sister's numbers had come up. All 6 numbers - but on the Wednesday when she doesn't do it ! She couldn't afford to do it twice a week.

I made them a brew anyway but it didn't seem to take the edge off the situation.

I recall a joke from when the Lottery was first introduced.

Lifetime Bury fans wins the lottery.

His mate says to him "How are you going to spend the money?"

He replies "I'm going to buy half the Man City first team and give them to Bury."

His mate replies "Half the team? Why not buy the whole team?"

"Because I only won £10."

Boom boom.

I don't mind the increase.

It's not like serious gambling. It's only pocket money and I do it for a laugh.

You're not going to win the jackpot so an increase in the minor prizes might make it worthwhile if you pick up four numbers every once in a while.
I'll tell that to stuart next time i see him £4 million the lucky bastid.

Not long after i took early retirement a syndicate of 10 bosses/team leaders at work won a million on the Euro draw, 1 dropped out a month before and another one of the same syndicate took over his payments so he got 200,000 the stuffy bastard, the one who dropped out got fuck all, dont think the other 9 gave him a penny, poor sod
