Southgate is a bit of a fraud - see’s himself as a football intellectual despite being a complete management failure, prior to his inexplicable appointment by the FA. He’s no tactical genius, his man management is bang average but he’s a yes man - so he’s perfect for the FA. I give him credit for taking us to a WC semi (however we did it) and the fact he gives youngsters a chance.
