Nations League

England were pretty clueless. Totally missing a leader on the pitch

Grealish looked like he had a good game but he didn't produce anything of substance
He's like Lallana. All flicks and tricks, flattering to deceive
He’s definitely got end product as he’s been showing all season. The gifted footballer England has and a must start but not sure we’ve got a manager to get the best out of him.

Southgate is a genius.

Throw the nation's league to play a couple of games less than the big boys pre euros. Therefore Belgium,Germany, France etc will be fucked, leaving Engerland to get beaten by Latvia in the final.

Southgate is a bit of a fraud - see’s himself as a football intellectual despite being a complete management failure, prior to his inexplicable appointment by the FA. He’s no tactical genius, his man management is bang average but he’s a yes man - so he’s perfect for the FA. No one half decent would touch the job so Gareth is free o carry on blowing smoke up his own ass for now.
The reason he got the job is that Allardyce got the sack for the bung sting and Southgate, who was looking after the U21's, was asked to take temporary charge
Southgate himself said he didn't want the full time position, but in all fairness he had a few decent results as caretaker
As there were no real decent candidates, Southgate was offered the job full time and accepted

If at the end of next week the FA decided Southgate wasn't the man to take England into the next tournament, who is there that's available or who could be coerced away from their club job?

I suppose, ,in the spirit of letting bygones be bygones, there's always BFS.

to many england players are being picked because of what club they play for and this is the problem

Is that really the case ?

Tonight we got a Everton keeper, Man City RB, spurs CB, Aston Villa CB, Chelsea CB.
West Ham CM liveroool CM
Chelsea AM Aston Villa AM
Spurs ST

Obviously Sterling would start normally.
That’s pretty mixed to me

All I ever read is that the FA and England manager always play Man U players.

do I really do that ? Can you find me a quote ever to say what a great managed he is ?

I give him credit for taking us to a WC semi (however we did it) and the fact he gives youngsters a chance.

if he got sacked tomorrow. I wouldn’t care. I will support England whoever the gaffer is.
