Navas on his way ?

It may be, that for the first time, academy players will get a genuine shot. If that's the case then players, not at the very pinnacle of the first team squad, could well be moved on.

I like Navas a lot, frustrating though he sometimes is, but I believe he falls into that category of player who could be replaced by a younger players with an EDS back up. He certainly wouldn't be used as a wing back and that normally is Pep's way.

It's not until the close season that you realise how many FIFA qualified coaches actually post on this board.

Nice to see support for Navas here, with the way match threads go on BM I didn't think there would be much opposition. Lets not for get we have Spanish Dave and Nolito, along with Aguero all Spanish speaking players who might just have more chemistry together which is sometimes just as important as individual talent. It might not work out that way but imagine if we could alternate that attack with Sterling, Sane and De Bruyne(wanted to say Aubameyang too but this window is looking too expensive even without signing him) that would keep us fresher for a lot longer.

Is 33 year old Sagna staying? Yet talk of Zaba going, just can't get my head round it..

Navas is a great worker with no real end product to his game,he's 30 and if he hasn't learned to cross a ball at this stage of his career he never will. Not good enough for where we want to go.

I would seriously get his eyes tested before offloading him. His final ball and shooting were not as bad when he first arrived. Spurs at home 6-0 he was immense.
The deterioration of his crossing and shooting when every other part of his game has improved is unbelievable.
I'm sure they must do regular eye tests though

You ever wondered that the reason may well have been that there was nobody busting a gut to get free in the box, leaving Navas a solitary Aguero to aim for who was inevitably marked by 4 players, I felt sorry for Navas at times, he has come in for a hell of a lot of abuse in here and for a player that was supposedly a homesick type he has done City proud with attitude and work rate.

Somebody mentioned earlier that he could prove to be an effective wing back and I wouldn't mind him having a go at that.

Navas works hard for the team and although his final ball does leave a lot to be desired, it would help if he had more than one player in the box to aim for.
He also puts in a good defensive performance covering for our defenders who don't get back quickly enough.
Save our Navas.

Isn't he our highest assist provider since 2013 (when he signed)? Not bad considering some of you loons reckon any young EDS lad can give more than he has.
