"Navas will be like Gareth Bale" - Iniesta

A lot more intent in your transfers this year. Last year was basically standing still for you guys but Fernadinho and Navas is a statement of intent. After losing Balotelli and Tevez I'd be very surprised if you didn't sign a top striker too. Cavani on your radar?

Cavani? Not good enough. We're buying Fred.

Would Barca consider a bid for Iniesta?

Sure, we would have to begin our bidding at £120m though.
And he would need to be given the best contract in football history.

Wow 120m is high, surely would be less than that.

They may see it as an opportunity to cash in as they have midfielders coming through and Fabregas

In my humble opinion, Iniesta is the undisputed third best player in the world. I of course have no idea of what kind of price tag Barcelona would slap on him, but I'd be very surprised if he was available for under 100mil.

Him alone in our current sqaud would make us clear PL title favourites. He is that good.

New-boy Jesus Navas tipped to become Man City's Gareth Bale by Andres Iniesta

"He is going to cause the defences in the Premier League a real problem when he plays for City," says the Barcelona midfielder

Jesus Navas has been tipped to become Manchester City’s answer to Gareth Bale.

Navas’ Spanish team-mate, Andres Iniesta, insists that City’s £15million winger is from the same mould as Spurs sensation Bale.

Spain meet Brazil tonight in the Confederations Cup final, but Iniesta took time out his preparations to heap praise on the City new-boy .

He said: “Navas is a very special player. He is going to cause the defences in the Premier League a real problem when he plays for City.

“Jesus has so much speed, and his feet are so quick, that it becomes nearly impossible to stop him without fouling him.

“The only player that I can compare him with that is already playing in England is Gareth Bale.”

Navas came off the bench on Thursday to score a shoot-out penalty that put Spain into tonight’s decider.

But erm but but erm but.....

He's 'to old', 'overpriced', 'homesick', 'lightweight', 'should only start in away games' and 'will only be used as an impact sub as he doesn't fit into our 4-1-2-1-1-1 formation' and isn't as hardworking as James Milner.

Iniesta clearly has no fucking idea ;)

as long as he keeps on 2 feet

Last night, Navas came on as sub and started to really give Spain some purpose. The "tippy tappy" spain game wan't working because Brazil were matching them in intensity. THey weren't allowing SPain to have any free time on the ball, pressing high up the pitch.
The only way spain could of pulled that around last night was to revert to directness, and that is what happened. Navas came on and showed the Brazilians a some of their own high octane medicine. Won a penalty and had some really good decisive play in crosses and shots

He looks wicked.

I really hope we don't just utilise him as a super sub with Dzeko, but use them pair from the start and be 3-0 up at half time. Then bring on Milner late on just to drive the opposition full backs into the ground as a lesson.

no chance Iniesta is coming. you can forget about any sky high bid as well. he's got his own wine bodega and 2nd tier football club to tend to
