Navas

Last season he played almost every game and didn't score a goal in the Spanish League.

Now he has 3 goals for us, and looks like a significant goal threat.

If he didn't score last season, what about the assists though! What was Sevilla's record against Barca like the previous couple of seasons?

IIRC there was a stat floating around that he created more chances from open play than anyone in Europe?

I'l admit, I was worried the goal threat wasn't there.. I still think is very important for someone playing his position. Robben, Ribery, Reus, Pedro - All fast wide forward players who can come inside and score goals - Navas has bagged a couple of crucial ones for us now and if he can contribute 10 or so in all comps that would be a respectable return (as long as he's still creating chances for others).

Sounds obvious but having goals spread throughout the attacking 6 (plus subs) is a great way to be. We may not have anyone winning the golden boot, but it makes it ridiculously difficult to play against.

that Spurs goal will put the fear in everyone now, it's cemented him as a goal threat because it just screams "leave me alone and I can do that".

Just watched a video of his role in the World Cup final.

He came on in place of Pedro in the 59th minute. I had actually forgotten how pivotal he was in the creation of Iniesta's winning goal. He collected the ball deep into Spain's half, and then took off like the proverbial road runner. He cut inside just over the half way line, with about 5 Dutch players chasing him. He completely disrupted the Dutch defence, and then about two passes later Iniesta was unmarked and the rest as they say is history.

He seems to me to be improving every game. He adds so much to our attack with his blistering speed and beautiful crosses.

It's just fantastic having a player of such quality to be able to bring on as a super sub, or start the game when the occasion demands.

Funny how barca fans dread this guy haha !
Probably because unlike posters on this forum who had written him off after playing a few games they actually have seen him play

He's one of those players. He'll have a good few games where he's ineffective and pretty much anonymous. But he'll have (and has already had) a few crackin performances as well and as said is always a threat. Great asset for us, who will have quiet games...need to accept that with Navas and similar style of players.
