Pray tell me which City midfield player, playing deep with our defense, made an ill-advised diagonal pass (trying to thread thru 3 rags) across the centre which was intercepted by a 4th.

Unfoytunately this led to VK, trying to recover the turnover, being red carded.

Is that a 'suicide' pass?

If I am not mistaken that would be our dear friend Samir. :(

Are you sure?

Not seen anything on here yet, but according to a mate who was at the match today, Nigel dug up some turf, ran round to wave goodbye to all four corners of the ground. Not entirely sure he is telling the truth about all four corners of the ground, because otherwise something surely would have been said on here, but what do we make of this?

Nigel off...somewhere...

i noticed this as well. as did everyone around us it was strange.

he looked to rip some grass up and tuck it into his sock.

went mary d's after and others saw it too

Top, top player just needs more games to get back up to last seasons standards. At the moment he appears odd man out in midfield but when the going gets tough and it will I think he will start appearing on the teamsheet a lot more. Hopefully not going anywhere.

Hey so there may be some truth to it after all!!

everyone around us noticed it.

like i said in mary d's spoke to a few different people who noticed it.

hope it was nothing but from what i saw he was saying adios.

he does wave after every game this was more pronounced tho. hope im wrong

Its well known his contract hasnt been renewed yet and doesnt look like being resolved any time soon but there is no way we will sell him before Yaya gets back, contrary to popular belief we are thin on the ground this month and we need to make sure we dont implode over the next three weeks - anyone know when Vinnies appeal will be heard, not that he stands a chance with the FA

If he is leaving then it will mean we are bringing in a replacement who is better suited to our style of football.
Unfortunately for DJ he has suffered more than most because he is a one trick pony,a very good one,but none the less he doesn't have the strings to his bow that makes him a fluid part of an adaptable, interchanging midfield.
DJ is a destroyer,he breaks play and does the simple things well, unfortunately this isn't enough in our team anymore, that single job very rarely presents itself,we need a player who can do that as well as spark an attack, ping a ball 40 yds to a team mate and weigh in with a few goals each season.
He also lacks pace and height and quite often loses his man when they sprint into our box as his athleticism is limited. Also, unlike last season,i'm not even sure i'd back him to win every single 50/50 challenge anymore,he seems to have lost his edge for whatever reason.

I will be forever grateful to Nige,a warrior and a true professional who has played a large part in propelling us to where we are, but, unfortunately,i think we have moved forward without him and in fairness he is far too good to sit on anyones bench for 75% of a season.....I expect a replacement is in the pipeline.....

That is how i see it mate, well said.
