Nedum Onuoha

Then more or less said that JL had been fit for the last game of the season but Mancini didn't pick him, blaming Mancini that JL didn't get selected by England. He also had a dig by saying Harry Redknapp looks after his England players.

I woulnt say it was a dig, more a comparison because Twitcher has been bigging up his English players this past 2 months and getting them minutes on the pitch to get in the world cup window, or is that just Twitchers English pride?
Whether we think Ned was right or wrong, at least he's been honest and its straight from the horses mouth, if what he has said had been in any paper then this place would be in a frenzy slaughtering the media.
We are on a great stride forward, and there's probably 30+ players after 11 shirts so some will be disappointed not to be playing because they ALL want to be part of Man City and the making of an amazing history.

Forza Onuoha

Oh yeah I forgot as long as he goes on TV and slags off our management thats great. Do we need Onuoha? NO. Is Onuoha a top class defender? NO.

Rather than Forza Ouoha, its GOODBYE ONUOHA from me.

cant help but wonder if this is something players who've come through the academy have planned to do...lets see if its richards who comes up with sthg next

Stunning how people on here can turn against a quality City player in the way they have. Calling Nedum an idiot for god's sake... I wonder what that makes the person who said it as we all know Nedum is a very clever articulate guy.

Yes you might think he was wrong to say what he did on a few matters but I have no doubt he knew what he was saying and yes it would seem that he isn't that fussed about any repercussions. He thinks Mancini doesnt fancy him so he probably feels it doesnt matter what he says and it's better to do it outside the season than during it.

There is clearly a lot of work for Mancini to do within the dressing room.

Not really, he's basically said they can fuck off, no neds not quality, a quality human but just a stopper pal, if he played for another club, IF he could get in squad, and we were linked with him, there would be uproar.

Are you for real? We dont need him, we already have better defenders and we can sign better players than him. Whether he thinks Mancini fancies him or not, he shouldnt make this public. This is one player having a paddy because he cant get in the first team. I have news for Onuoha, its because he isnt good enough.

Ned is clearly an intelligent lad and a blue at heart so these comments are more worrying to me than if another player had made them. It does make me think the dressing room disharmony is as bad as some of the tabloids have made out.
It now seems very likely Ned will be moving on this summer and if he can avoid the all too often injuries he'll be a very good addition to most teams in the league.

he couldnt even hold a regular place in the squad when we were shit

Think Ned will read this thread later and feel a bit disappointed in himself in the way he did it, Soccer AM isn't the place to get all shitty.

He's probably off in the summer and I'll wish him luck unless he goes to Spurs or United. I'd even wish him luck at Everton but not Spurs.

If Mancini doesn't like him then don't go into the media bleeting, go into his office and sort it out with a bit of dignity rather than slating the club. What are potential buyers going to think of him now? Probably end up at Celtic/Rangers/Villa/Birmingham though.

I think Ned will be on his way, even though getting rid of him will be one of the worst decisions this club has ever made. He's a superb player, but its such a shame that Mancini doesn't rate him (we all saw it for ourselves). He's a wonderful attribute to any team, what with his pace and willingness to play for the shirt rather than the money. He's one of only a few genuine footballers that are left out there, and all he ever does is speak his mind (like today). If he does go, then we can't exactly blame him. He's been a loyal servant for 4 or 5 years at this club, and no manager has given him a proper run in the team other than Sven. He showed during that season that he is a great attacking threat at corners (header vs. Tottenham), and he's a very reliable defender too.

I wish him the best of luck if he goes.

If he got some more game time then he could be a world-beater, but I think that him not playing is down to Mancini not liking the player that he is: big, stong and spends his game battering people over. Its just not Mancini's way, and I don't think its personal hatred towards Onuoha. Mancini may just prefer Richards, Kompany and Zabaleta. You also have to take into account that maybe Mancini is letting Onuoha come to a decision over his international allegiances, and whether he will consider playing for England or Nigeria.

He's a wonderful player, and such a genuinely nice lad. He'd be great to have around the camp to keep spirits up, but even Nedum looked down today.

Again more nonsense from our fans. Theres no room for sentimentality when your at the top. United sold Ronaldo, one of the worlds best players. We are going to sell Onuoha, a fringe player at best, who couldnt get into the first team when we didnt have the money to sign better players than him. Now we do.
