It's fair to say that my last endeavour to start a music critiquing website was a disaster: every comment I receive is from "winanewipad2@hotmail.com" and every single article I write is ignored or not noticed as it slips up Google's radar. Even when I got other people involved their work went unnoticed, so I felt like I needed a change. But...

I am here with a vision!

I'm going to co-found a new website, named Crossfader, with a friend of mine. Now, before we can get this started, we need some more writers so that we have enough material to stay afloat in the early weeks and months of this project - I'd say that myself and my friend are good at writing and we both hope to progress further and have careers in the critiquing business (me with music, my friend with films) but two people is just not enough for what we hope to achieve.

We're hoping to start with a music section and, if that goes well, branch out to a movies section. Should our popularity increase, we're looking to really cross several topics such as football, television, food and other things. This is where the name "Crossfader" comes from: we'd like to "crossfade" between several different things and make sure everyone gets a bite of the cake or a slice of the pie. And we want you to be a part of making this happen!

This is the logo that my friend designed, and the final logo that we decided would be best for the website.

If you're interested in writing for Crossfader, then please PM me as soon as you can. This is because we want to get things running in early 2012. However, if you are still interested in writing after early 2012, drop by a PM and I'm sure I'll be able to fit you in. We really want to take this forward, and the only way we can do this is by asking for your help and hoping you can return the call!

In the words of MGMT - "we've got the vision, now let's have some fun."

dont do writing but i have done a few logos for websites/ business's before.

I'm happy to have a go

I've previously had album reviews published in national music mag. Main interest is psyche and americana but can turn an ear to anything

here's an example of my work :

"Crystal Castles entered the stage looking like the gypsy family of Cher Lloyd. The crowd were waiting with baited breath, they gasped as it slowly dawned on them that something was missing. The first song kicked in and had the classic CC sound of a siren going through a mincer. Something wasn't quite right though.
Alas, it was all a part of the act. One of the strange creatures that formed the band exited the stage momentarily, only to return with old faithful, the badly malfunctioning ZX Spectrum used to give CC that unique din.
Shortly after this, I left the arena as it suddenly dawned on me that I'd left my bank card at the 'All Thai'd Up' massage parlour where I'd gone to loosen myself up in preparation for the assault on my eardrums that was to come."

i'd be up for some more mate, well if you want me again lol.
