Negredo

11 games?

how many has he played for 90 mins?

Maybe 1?
He's played one full game, and even all his minutes added together come to less than 4.5 full games, so not much of a drought really. This is a good example of the problem with a lot of "per game" stats - they almost always count a full game every time a player appears in a match, even if it's only for a few minutes.

im a fan of Negredo but his bottling of his first chance was astonishing. Why he didnt just put his foot through it, Ill never know. If Edin had have done that the whole ground would have been on his back. If he'd have put it into the North Stand it would have been much better than what he did.

Yup can't believe he didn't take the chance to shoot on his left boot....shame to see him clearly lacking confidence, that shoulder injury halted his season just as he was looking unstoppable...pity as we have needed him whilst Aguero and Jovetic have been out injured.

23 goals in his first season in English football iirc.

Forget anything else.

BEAST!!!

Pellegrini got it disastrously wrong by not substituting him off v West Ham in the league cup seeing as we were already 8 or 9 nil up on aggregate, that was bad management for me, should of rested him as he was on fire at the time.

What you on about? You don't think he could of done with a rest at the time? He seemed to be playing every game over a busy Christmas period, we had already put the game to bed, he should of been rested in my opinion, why does that make me a 'Hater'? Really mature comment by the way.

Short on confidence, but if het gets one, plenty will follow

Luckily for us, Aguero is close to a return, and Jovetic and Dzeko are playing well

He'll come good again, just needs that simple tap in that Jovetic had yesterday to get back on track. Without knowing how Jovetic performs with an extended run in the team, Negredo is our 2nd best striker so we could do with him firing. On the other hand Aguero is coming back so it may not actually matter that much.

The pressure on him to come good again is immense, because if he does not, it will not be a career path he wishes for. But whatever the case, it unfair to still call him the beast, as it just adds to the pressure, and he does not seem the type who would enjoy such a nickname anyway. In poor Alvaro's view, it's 'Hey Beast (you have not scored in 11 games), how about a photo?'

The point is, and maybe it's not the best analogy, but if you are a salesman, and you have not met your targets in 11 months/periods, what would your boss think of you? How long more could you keep your job? What would be your next job? An upgrade or a downgrade?
