Negredo

Has he done any interviews lately where he spoke on his fitness or whatever?

Without knowing his fitness situation it looks like a lack of confidence, but I don't understand how. He was a revelation from the moment he arrived; Looked like he was born to play here, and received massive praise from everyone. I find it most puzzling, and a bit sad since I absolutely fell in love with the guy.

Lacking the confidence required for the lone striker role. Hasn't really performed well without Sergio to feed off so we can only hope his form improves on the return of Kun.

To be honest, he never had much composure in front of goal, especially if he had buckets of time to think.

At his best, he's an instinctive kind of player, who does things instantly and without thinking. I am not too concerned about his couple of missed opportunities today to be honest. He'll be back very soon, if not next game. I would not bet a penny against him scoring at Anfield.

To be fair to him, he did what many top strikers do these days in the one-on-one; he hit it low at the goalie's legs. Sometimes they go in, sometimes they don't. All top strikers miss more chances than they take (except for lucky runs where everything seems to go in). The fact he got into the positions to have those chances is encouraging.

Yes sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Take Dzeko at Hull, first time didn't work but second time he scored.

Getting himself in great positions, just needs a goal to get that confidence up. Wishing he had some of Edins gilt edged chances today, surely he would have popped one of those in.

Now I am not a Dzeko lover by any means but Negredo doesn't compare at the moment.

He needs to up his game sharpish.

I wish that Dzeko gets this type of comments in his thread after a poor game.

I like Dzeko but if he doesn't score he doesn't offer much else whereas Negredo does tend to put himself about a bit and holds the ball up well.

When Edin is low on confidence it's clear to see and his team play can be zero. Negredo has a lot more determination in his play for the good of the team even if he's out if form with his shooting.

dzeko had 4 decent chances and took one , negredo had a couple and missed both , i would start with kun and jovetic next week , we will have to take our chances against the new premiership champs.

Don't be so fucking soft.

Desperately needs a goal. He's had plenty of rest in recent weeks so he shouldn't be tired
