He recognises that football is about entertaining the fans as well as winning, which is partly what his personality reflects, and also explains why Palace came out of the traps so hard and aggressively at us and made it such a fun cup tie to watch. Palace fans going home tonight got value for money despite losing, and that's important - better than a dour defensive display simply trying to negate us.

Having said that, at times he has instructed his teams to do some fairly odious things, but at least his teams aren't dull.

I cannot stand him or people like him. People say 'he speaks his mind' that does not give him the right to be obnoxios and arrogant. If everyone spoke their mind there would be a lot of people falling out with one and other.

It reminds me when we had Joe Royle as 'manager' he always blamed others when the fact was we were shit. Fans don't want to hear other people blamed for their own teams failings. If your shit your shit. End of story!
