Let me get this right!

Our stadium can all most fill the entire population of the Faroe Islands?!?!?!?!?!?!

Well, the current total population of the Faroes (the biggest ever in fact) is slightly below 49 thousand.

So, principally it is possible to get the entire Faroese population to fill City of Manchester Stadium, with babies sitting on their parents' knees... ;-)

If you want to know something about Faroes, there are some links:

Very good tourist video:

WORLD FUTBOL report about Faroese football from 1995:

The golden moment of Faroese football, the National Team's debut in international competitions and the stunning triumph against Austria, back in September 1990 (great emotional Faroese commentary):

A couple of classic Faroese matches, vs. Scotland:

BTW, another former HB Tórshavn (Gunnar's original club) & Faroese international keeper with 4 caps in 1991 & 1992, Kaj Leo Johannesen, is presently serving as a prime minister of the Faroes!

Having Neilsen between the sticks might actually tighten up our defense, in the same way that sticking Boyata in in January, suddenly the DM's and the defenders think "shit we better concentrate here so we don't leave the lad in a bind", and so they are more focused in shutting everything out before it gets to Neilsen.

It looks like you might be right :) . <a class="postlink" href="http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1229500_toure_vows_to_protect_rookie_keeper" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... kie_keeper</a>

Good luck to the lad, he will certainly need it in the coming games, I felt he did really well yesterday, up against a team like Arsenal he really kept his nerve, hope he can maintain it.

was speaking to a wrexham fan today and him and his mate said he was really good for them. said he was a good shot stopper. i know its the blue square but just something to think about.

He'll be so good that he'll be the number one for the next 15 years.<br /><br />-- Sun Apr 25, 2010 8:35 pm --<br /><br />How many teams can say they are supported by a whole country like us!!
