Anyone that has a backlash its up to them but for me he is one of the greatest heroes the world has ever seen . Took on one worst and most racisit goverments of all time and would not give in. He did it in prison with dignity and hope.

He was a remarkable man. Sometimes very bad, sometimes very good. It's a shame he never saw the South Africa he truly hoped for. The place is a mess now and almost as divided as it has ever been, but the blame for that can't be laid at his door. He did his best and should be forever respected for the way he ATTEMPTED to bring the country together. True humility, and I feel sorry for those who can't see beyond the crimes he committed as a younger man.
