We have brought in the third most amount of money and I would say only really Sane was sold who we did not want. Obviously Liverpool lost their star players at time and Chelsea have also done well on selling (but doubt would have wanted to lose Hazard, De Bruyne, Salah and might as well kept Lukaku)

Shows how well the club is run and whilst we never get excited about the CFG players City sign that 25mil a year or so they gain definitely helps.

It also shows up in our total spend players that will never play for us, so without sounding scouse the net spend does mean something. Compare it to the signing on fees, loan fees, agent fees for these free transfers with the likes of Falcao, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, plus the ridiculous £40 million they paid Mino for Pogba.

The gross spends would be above ours as well.

Where we would also destroy them is if they added a column for squad value.
