Netflix Recommendations

I suppose it depends on what you want out of a Monarch or monarchy I guess. I agree that many of them are probably unpleasant (Andrew in particular, the horrible shit) and there are far too many on the gravy train. It needs stripping down.
However, I don't want a "Queen of Hearts" or some such nonsense. I want a King or Queen to just get on with the job in hand, keep their opinions to themselves and do their duty.
And I don't think anyone can say our current monarch hasn't done that.
Yes, she has a life of privilege but she is a constant in an ever changing world, with imesurable experience on the world stage and admired and respected all over the world.
That's not to be thrown away lightly in my opinion.
I don't know why anyone would admire or respect her other than sycophancy due to her wealth and the fact that the global media constantly reinforces how great she and the other clueless, brainless royals are. It's indoctrination of the highest order.

I certainly don't admire or respect her. She hoards billions while the homeless sleep and die on the streets less than a mile away from Buckingham Palace. The sheer juxtaposition of rich and poor is horrifying. Puts in for heating grants while the elderly (who don't have her privilege) freeze to death.

Other than that, she just comes across as a cold and unfeeling old cow.

We slag off footballers and musicians, and it makes sense a lot of the time to do that, but at least they have a talent and a reason to be famous other than exiting the right vagina.

A few new episodes of "world's toughest prisons" have been added which are always an enjoyable watch.

The Greenland episode is very interesting, whilst it's a small population I never knew that people actually lived there. Provokes a tough debate on rehabilitation there given the small population and close proximity of built up area. Beautiful place anyway.

I'm watching 'The Queens Gambit' I have two more episodes left. It's not edge of your seat stuff but its quite enjoyable I'm finding it good. I love chess myself but I can safely say she would wipe the floor with me :)
Really enjoyed that series despite having no interest whatsoever in chess. (Poor man’s Ludo.)

An excellent production. Once again, the period props and settings looked authentic and added interest. The actresses who played the leading role at different ages were quite charismatic.

Ratched 8/10. Great series, very sinister with some excellent cameos. Sarah Paulson and Judy Davis outstanding. But Sophie Okonedo was incredible.

I must admit I had Chadwick Boseman winning posthumous Emmys, Golden Globes etc., but you're spot on about Sophie Okonedo!

I'm not too sure about Boseman sweeping the board now!
