Thought it should have been Foden though.Ollie Watkins :)
If Trippier and Palmer also feature for England that could be those 2 plus Foden, Stonesy and Walker. For Spain, Rodders, Laporte, Navas and Torres, so potentially 9 players who are, or have been at City at some point. Not forgetting (briefly) ex blue Ferran Torres, who I had forgotten about until I saw him earlier in the tournament to be fair!
Still a few trophies short than Deschamps. He’s the luckiest manager in the world
FWIW I wasn't being critical of Foden the player (he was the best player in the 1st half). I was critical of some of the things he did in the second half, specifically holding onto the ball for too long (he's learned that from Bellingham). Whether you're a City fan or not surely you can see he wasn't the same force in the 2nd half, his replacement came on, did make the pass early and it set up the winner.
And yes Rice had a shocker. He was very poor for most of the match.
If he does that I will actually pay Southgate a compliment.Watkins starting ahead of Kane and winning the thing would actually make me start to falter my opinion on Southgate. Go on Gaz.. be brave!
Foden, Mainoo and Saka all excellent in the first half, all 3 out of sorts second and that’s down to Holland changing shape and Southgate doing fuck all to counteract it.Made 2 key tackles to stop attacks. There was no stand out player in the 2nd. Ollie Watkins and his goal apart. Mainlo was still one of the consistent players in the 2nd. Maybe Walker edged it in the 2nd. But based on the performance in both halves. I'd still go with the kid.
Just overall consistent.
Don’t play Kane in final we can win this.
So far the waistcoat has got that. Cue a Spanish goalkeeper brain fart Sunday.Congrats England. You'll need the luck of gods against Spain tho
That's a sponsor's decision if ever I saw one.Ollie Watkins :)
He has the best group of players in a generation, and with his total ineptitude he just stumbles over the line, because how can you fail with this group of players. Oh for a Bobby Robson, or Terry Venables, but.........he's a game away from winning it.He’s the luckiest manager in the world
Those Madge mobiles will be pileing up.
It would be suicidal if he tries to match up with Spain. This is the only time where being really cautious is going to get England something out the game.If he does that I will actually pay Southgate a compliment.
I know, scandalous!
Not forgetting (briefly) ex blue Ferran Torres, who I had forgotten about until I saw him earlier in the tournament to be fair!
I'll he back in 5.
