Neville Kneville

Had a fair few discussions over the years and some were uncivil but, always respected his opinions, especially on the youth.

Any loss is wrenching, he had real passion for the club.

He’ll be greatly missed and sincere condolences to all those who were close.

Sorry to hear this.
Didn’t know him personally but had some discussions on here with him and always respected his opinions. A sad loss to the forum but much more importantly to his family and friends.
RIP

Always came across as a top bloke, knowledgeable and a great contributor to this forum.

Condolences to his loved ones. 59 is such a young age.

I hope he's now having a beer with Nijinsky.

I had the good fortune to miss the Derby away game but I did go down to Reading with him for a midweek game in 1998. We lost 3 nil and were relegated to the third division at the end of the season. Tony was as positive as ever on the way back.
I was on a business trip to London and went to Reading that night to see City live for the first time! Pissing down rain the whole time and City wore those awful bumblebee away kits if I recall correctly. RIP Blue.

That is really upsetting.

Funnily enough I was just thinking about Nev the other day because he hadn't posted for a while, and I was wondering why. I really enjoyed every post that Nev made on the forum. Unlike most of us (myself included) he possessed a deep insight into the game, and his thoughts were always articulate and very well reasoned. I would say that I almost always read Nev's thoughts on all issues related to City.

My profound condolences to all Nev's family and friends.
its great that you could see his knowledge and insight through his posts. Me and Gingers Dad had the privilege on many occasions to experience it in person. If we made the mistake of disagreeing with him about a players performance, he would take us through the recording of the match and showed us why we were wrong. Going to miss our brilliant City chats

Sincere Condolences to Nev’s family and friends.

If it’s any consolation, he (along with the rest of us) has probably had the best 10 years of city supporting life. A supporters life that none of us ever dared dream of. Be thankful for that.

Every time city win something I think back to a couple of blues I knew who passed away just before the takeover.

Those of us that have experienced it are so lucky.

Rest in Peace Nev.
I actually think Tony was happier when we were shit. After many a depressing defeat we would meet up with him because it never got him down. He was always very positive and we were only ever a few academy players away from being a top side. He was very passionate about the youth players coming through, rather than big money signings

Late to the thread, but am genuinely upset to read this truly wretched news, especially given his relatively young age. NK was a real asset to this community and one of a fairly small number of posters whose contributions I particularly look out for.

His views were strongly held and sometimes trenchantly expressed, but, even when you disagreed with him, it was always obvious that they were based on a deep knowledge of MCFC and football in general. For that reason, he could really make you think and his passion for the Blue cause shone through like a beacon.

RIP, mate. And sincere condolences to your friends and family.

Fair enough. If he was happier when we were shit, then he probably had a very happy life!! ;-)

Either way, his passion for city certainly gave him an interesting life

WHAT?!?!

Wow, this is terrible, terrible news! :(

Truly gutted.

Prior to BlueMoon, I knew him on the ManCityFans forum As Ted Hughes.

Back then he was one of the first posters to interact with me within threads whilst I was a newcomer / outsider to our online community and I was feeling my way around who made me feel more like a genuine Blue, outside of my mate who is a life long City fan and one of the major reasons I am a fan today.

When he left ManCityFans in 2015 I was quite sad about it.

His posts were highly enjoyable, and thought provoking reads, where I truly appreciated his willingness to go in depth with analysis and engage in dialogue.

When I expressed my sadness when he left in a thread about this another poster on ManCityFans was kind of enough to let me know that he'd moved to BM as Neville Neville.

That in fact led me to seek his posts out and spend time here on BlueMoon when I wasn't at the same level prior to his decision to post here.

So, it was because of his move here that I am even perhaps on BM as much as I am today, and have been able to interact with even more of our fans.

That's how much I respected the man.

A 100% true Blue I will never forget for his intelligent posts, but maybe more so for how he helped me feel welcomed as part of Blues fan online community.

I hope his loved ones are able to hear how much he is valued and will be missed.

you are absolutely spot on with everything you say, I am going to miss him and the great one to one chats we had

A very good poster. The forum will be worse off without him, as I’m sure he will be a huge miss with his loved ones.

Rest in peace.

RIP Neville kneville, as has been said he was one of the top posters on here for years, one whose posts you would always take a little bit more interest in, and the forum will be worse off for not having him around, such sad news.
Condolences to his family and friends. RIP
