Haven't read the thread but I cannot see anything but sense in neville's comments. City are in a position, being rich and having a good side, to push on and become a dominant force but it will take good management and good luck. Things change fast in football, that's why we are where we are. What if united get bought out? Chelsea keep spending? We lose silva?

I don't think anyone at City would imagine things will be any easier next season , than they were last time out ........ even with a practically unblemished home record , we only took the title through goal difference.
It will be even more difficult to defend the title because i feel the rags will push even harder next season , as i'm sure will Chelsea ..... we have the players , and we have the desire , but we need the consistency to be there again ...... after the experience and thrill of finishing first it will be even more difficult to accept second place!
