Mancini can't magic up some wingers at this point in the season can he? I am certain he knows what our problems are but before January we were looking like world beaters so can't blame him for not buying anyone then and now we just have to make do with what we have. He will already have players he wants in mind.
Never said he could, did I? What i was getting at was that, even before the January window opened, our away form had started to creak. Therefore, he did have the chance to go out and try to find a decent wide man . Not saying he would have succeeded, but he could have tried. Unless he is of the opinion that no width is not a problem. That's for him to answer. As you said yourself; just about everybody else looks on it as a flaw, along with a lack of blinding pace in the side.

have still not heard a decent reason why this lack of width only affects our away results though

The full-backs can't get forward the same as home matches, where the opposition pretty much line up on the 18 yard line most games.

Away from home they have to defend more, therefore attack less.

And it fucks us up. Once teams had sussed it, even crap like Villa and Wigan make it hard for us.

well nevilles assesment was in the away game which he stated that teams are letting our fullbacks go unmarked and packing midfield so this cant be the case, i think teams even at home are cautious when playing us if they do attack more this should leave space behind their midfield, i think i will check what games we have played recently and see if we have just lost a little form and the away thing is just a coincidence, every year teams seem to suffer home/away form problems.

Could be just one of those things

Instead of turning this into a conspiracy about neville identifying to other teams how to stop us from scoring couldn't it just as easily make us sit up and notice our shortcomings, address our tactics and become a better team because of it?

I dont get why people are calling for new fullbacks - I think left side could be better (I am amazed how BAD Clichy's crossing is, but could live with) and right side is good with Micah and Zab.

Our problem are attacking WINGERS, more than fullbacks.

Mancini opted out for tippy-tappy football through the middle from the get-go, but has failed to DESIGN A PLAN B (i.e. dangerous wingers when you simply need them).

I guess he thought crossing-wise AJ, Milner, and Barry could cut it when required, but...Barry is another centre field player (and so is Milner actually) and AJ's crosses sucks donkey's balls.

Result: we are probably one of the WORST crossing teams I've ever seen in my life. Thus we struggle when teams park the bus. We actually simply dont have even resembleance of a winger.

Isn't our pitch one of the widest in PL, hence we don't struggle at home but on the narrower pitches have struggled.
