New Beatles song released

Two and a half million views in one day tells you all you need to know about the Beatles this little film is really good, “Now and Then“ the record I’m not sure about it but George Harrison didn’t like it he thought it was rubbish.

Sadly this is future of music and AI, it will bring back everybody who's long gone and left demos, Next thing all of sudden a lost demo will be suddenly be found and Bingo, From Elvis to Eva Cassidy it's going to happen over night
It’s not AI it is John and George. A.I is already being used in music but you can tell the difference

This is AI the music

Not bad but nothing like the original

So?

Maybe we’ll get some long hidden gems that are really good, and if not…just don’t listen to them.

I think The Beatles are a band a lot of us FOC's love. We grew up with them and each album they made over that 7 years period was a progression on the last, they wrote 2 albums a year on top of world tours, tv shows and 2 full on movies. To us they were a revelation and caused a revolution in music where artists began to write their own songs.
They had the cheek to turn down "professionally written songs" suggested by George Martin and demanded they release their own, pretty risky for a scruffy working class band from Liverpool who had been given a few months recording contract after being knocked back by every other record company.
But music in the UK was very drab pre-Beatles I can tell you, we're talking Matt Munro, Kenny Balls Jazzmen and Cliff Richards etc.

Anyway, the last song, it's very poignant and a wee bit sad. A nice melody. Not one of their best but probably a good album track on a John solo album. Maybe John regarded it as a throwaway ? we'll never know.........anyway, Paul liked it.....I like it a lot, but then again I liked everything they did, even Revolution No 9 !
I can fully understand people who wern't around in the 60's condemning The Beatles as shite, overrated rubbish etc as I think we all love the music of our youth, like whatever is big when were teenagers. That's just the way it is.
I think Now & Then is for us FOC's that loved The Beatles.
And still do.

Great summary speaking as a fellow FOC. (except Revolution 9 )

I think they did a great job with it and it sounds great (I terms of production considering it was a rough demo) but, but never thought it was or ever could be a great song, having first heard it years ago in demo form. Still sounds like Half a song and like the other two they did for anthogly probably best left alone but no big deal also nice to hear something new. On a different note love the version/mix of Love me do on bside it sounds great

Were they as good as Oasis though?

Many many of todays generation only seem fixated on now, it even stretches as far as football where they don't seem to notice the old traditional clubs or ways in exchange for the fan experience etc.

If you like music you wont just like your era you'll like stuff from many eras, Messi isn't the best player ever he is one probably of many.

A few will but the vast majority will always love the music of their youth.

I grew up in the 60's, I love 60's music Beatles Kinks Stones Small Faces Traffic Floyd Cream etc etc

I know lots of young people who wont even watch 80's and 90's classic films mate, these really are weird times.

it's a digital voice done with AI and not really John Lennon voice is it

The truth is this so-called new Beatles song was not written for the Beatles ? written by John Lennon in 1978 when he was a solo artist and Never was going to be a Beatles Song,

Just listened to it. I love the Beatles like the next man but found this to be quite soulless. Even the music lacked energy!

From a technology point of view it's impressive that they recreated his voice but there was no emotion in it and you can tell that the vocals a bit cut and paste.

It just lacked that spark or magic which is not surprising really. I don't get why they've done this tbh
