I went to the game with my wife and daughter. A couple of blues thought it would be humorous to have a go at them because they didn’t think women should be at games. This has happened before to my two daughters.
At Basel last year we were in the main City pub. She went to the ladies toilet which was full of lads who told her to ‘fuck off’, they were in there taking drugs.
At Newport there was an older fella and his lad giving shit to everyone around for not singing, they were just load mouthed bullies.
Everton, three lads in the toilet cubicle, I can only imagine why?
At Burnley last year I said something about one of our players and the bloke (40s) in front turned round and was incredibly abusive, it was astounding.
The behaviour in the old days was poor but usually aimed at the opposition fans.
Now it seems to be aimed at our own and the weaker you are the bigger the target.
That’s why we continually get posts like the earlier one such as ‘boring old farts’ for disliking behaviour that is unacceptable, and for condoning law breaking and for wanting to enjoy a football game without beer thrown over them or arguments for nothing.
The poor behaviour is not consigned to one particular age group, it’s confined to a group called ‘dick heads’.
Need to do an away trip, just time off is the big problem and getting tickets of course, restricted to fcuking term time.I agree

at the game with my grandson and funnily enough we never had any bother with any of the age groups.
Mind you I am still capable of telling anyone to fvck off if they go to far and back it up if they don't.
We got a little bit wet but I would be a total hypocrite if I complained.
Compared to what I have seen and done over the years a bit of lager is small time.
As I say if they go too far deal with it and I'm sure they wont want to repeat it in the near future.
We had another great trip btw.
I agree it isn’t confined to youngsters and I’ve missed out the worst.That’s a pretty shocking list of things to happen and I’ve no issue with any of it being called out for what it is. It most certainly doesn’t make you a boring old fart and if I’d witnessed any of those things I’d have had my say to the perpetrators. My only real issue with some of the stuff that has been said on this thread is that it’s wrong to level most of it at younger fans and your post backs up what many have said and that is that shitty behaviour at matches isn’t just confined to younger fans.

Because some people are just twats in everything they do. They are little twats as kids, bigger twats as adults and die being remembered as a twat. I don’t think age has anything to do with it. We have older guys in my local like this. Complete gob shites who love the sound of their own voice.
I do find all this social media bouncing around throwing beer strange though and that is a younger generation thing. The need for constant validation.
The same people who moan about the naughty boys are the same ones who moan about City not singing. Its bad enough that football is turning into rugby and getting gentrified but the last bastion of all game singing and edginess is being curtailed by the liberal and soft centred theatre goers. Its a working persons game and in particular, working people from Manchester party hard. Anyone who wants a theatre experience on an away trip in Europe is bordering on delusional.
