New chants

PLZ, because i am greek i didn't quite understood what that chant was..i heard it first at the pub we were before the game and inside the stadium...it was ending like that "we're champions again"...and also at some point i think it was saying " and we will sing...we are champions again..."

Iv had that ringing around my head all night, train back from London last night thats all you could hear, got in bed at 1.30am couldnt sleep with that in my head.
Well done blues yesterday the whole section sang even some touristy types stood near us, Norwich fan in pub after said even they were singing it and as usual we are the best fans at Carrow Rd this season

The chant for barry is brilliant and is catching on well. First heard it at Dortmund and joined in with half-time rendition started by the blue aliance group. Heard it at Newcastle and Sunderland, but yesterday it was really noticable how many people have latched onto the words now- be great to get this going at home games now.
 
I've often wondered about the ball and acceleration thing. Kinetic energy from the foot is transferred to the ball (in part - because the foot continues after impact), this is simply the conservation of momentum, imagine when no energy is transferred ie a fresh air shot and the damage you can do with the follow through ( invites the obvious sniggers). A body will only accelerate when acted upon by a force, F=M.A, a falling body will accelerate due the force of gravity until the counteracting forces equal the pull of gravity, therefore a ball will only accelerate whilst being acted upon by the foot and also the potential energy due to the ball's deformation. As a previous poster said it will only decelerate following impact. Remember the golf shot on the moon, Alan Shepard hit a ball 600 yds, this is because there was no air to decelerate it, had it kept accelerating it would have eventually reached exit velocity and ended up in stable orbit.
One of my biggest bug bears is when commentators state thet the ball " picked up speed off the ground" when bouncing on a wet surface, NOT TRUE!, it just didn't slow down as much as you would expect! If this were the case then we've just solved the planets energy crisis - just throw a ball at a shallow angle and watch it get faster and faster!
Back to the original point then , I wouldn't have bothered with the ball, I'd have just transferred as much energy directly to the odious twats head directly with my right boot!
