Absolutely this. As if I could love the bloke any more than I already do! It may be heresy to some, and I acknowledge it's difficult to compare players from different eras, but I personally rate Spanish Dave as the finest player I've ever seen in a City shirt.

He's one of the top 3 for me, along with Yaya and The King, and the battle for top spot is still ongoing.

After yesterday's news, I was feeling really happy.

Now, I'm ecstatic. This is the best news we Blues could have received.

Manchester City really is a completely different proposition when our little magician is on the pitch, weaving his spells and completing his 360 degree pirouettes. David has put in countless top-class performances in his time here, but, as some of you will know, I rate his display at Hull last season as his finest; maybe the best I have seen by any player in a City shirt. By the time his new contract has run its course, David Silva will rank alongside any of the all-time City greats.

But the most important point is: what message does this send out to other members of the squad? It will tell them that East Manchester is the place to be if you want to win trophies. We are here to stay, ad despite what the horrible hoardes who follow the shit in Trafford - and other places - think, HRH will not be losing interest any time soon.

So you'd better get used to City being in the hunt for trophies for the foreseeable future. We are not going away.

Now, Sergio, Vinnie, jimmy and Joe; follow suit and commit yourselves long term to the Champions.

Believe who you like. I'm not sure about Sergio. However I'm 99% certain my amigo is not signing a new contract.
Things change quickly but at this moment in time no talks are planned or arranged to discuss a new contract . 100% on my son's life a new contract has not been signed by DS today or prior (since his last one 9/2012).
As I've already said I am not privy to Sergio's situation. With DS you can trust me.

Let's go & win the league now ... just give it to David.

"I am 99% certain my amigo is not signing a new contract" and then 3 months later he signs one (maybe even earlier signed and announced now) - either way new contracts at this level take several months to complete, especially with a world cup in between, so yeah you were 99% wrong (and 1% right if you prefer)
