New developments in Manchester city centre

Said it in previous thread on town and the gardens that we don't exploit our river banks and canals and the potential for there liesure use.

Instead we build massive appartment blocks right on them with privare walkways

Agree - I live near canal...walk dog everyday.....pint or ice cream.....I have seen it develop in last 10 years....cafe and marina and now alot of people living on canal boats and a whole canal community....lots of wildlife - I seen a kingfisher the other day... there are fishing clubs every 2 weeks - we need to make more of rivers and canals as people need more than concrete.
