New developments in Manchester city centre

Why is it fucked? People can get train from
Flixton go Manchester.

Mate of mine commutes that route .... he already bangs on about how crowded the trains are on it. (As are many routes at rush hour) And not all will work in the centre, meaning even more jams on the M60.

I honestly cannot believe people are against investment and development in the city.

to put the train line in context ( i've been using it for over a decade ).

1) its a non electrified route so new train options are limited
2) its a norther rail route, they are shite. regularly not running due to no staff etc.
3) a lot of the trains on the route are Pacer trains ( old buses converted into trains, and are about 40 years out of date ), while some routes seem to be getting rid we seem to be getting more.
4) in the last 2 months alone there have been about 4/5 occasions where we havn't been able to get on trains for 3/4 train arrivals, where we are stood from 7.20am and not able to get on a train until nearly 9am.
5) last week a woman collapsed on the wife due to the heat on the train, people collapse quite regularly on them to be honest.

All in all there is zero scope for more people to get on these trains on this route. not without increasing the number of trains down the line, which just isn't gonna happen, from the 2030 plans for the trams id guess this line is going to be converted to a tram line at some point.

Id go as far as saying adding even a few hundred extra commuters on that line in spread out over a couple of hours in the morning / evening and its going to collapse. or at least any station after urmston is just pointless.

Yes but apart from that?

I went for a drink in Ancoats last night, to say that it has changed in the last few years is a bit of an understatement. Edinburgh Castle pub, very nice.

That stalled due to Forrest Construction going pop. Surprised it has taken so long to get going again. Pochins going bust was a shock and some of the schemes they have been on seem to be taking an age to complete as well.
Back up running now the x1 plaza. Just had the spec sent to me with an offer to go on there.
