I'm afraid it's naive to think City will not be drinking at this top table. Can't think any long standing supporter's will be interested in this tbh and I certainly won't be. There pushing for an American style franchise type game with limited numbers for the elite. Death knell for most European leagues because I would imagine the TV money would dry up.

What is the point of having a league of invited participants who can't be relegated for 20 years? Old fashioned protectionism for the bancrupts' revenue streams.

It seems very clear that the growing number of American owners are not here to see the status quo but want to break up football at league/continental level and refashion it in their own flawed US format.

It's very disappointing that we'll probably side with these parasites purely for a seat at the big table.
