Just on the actual practicalities of this, the reason the Champions League is so successful is precisely because it's not a league. A European league will suffer from exactly the same problem as every other league in Europe in that a few teams will slowly begin to dominate and the rest will be there to make up the numbers. With the Champions League, any from about 10 could realistically win it every year.

Both these clubs know they are gonna get left behind, they haven’t got the financial clout without getting into more debt so now they are desperate to find another way to keep at the top of the cash mountain even at the livelihoods of every club in this country. There was nowt wrong with football. Too much diving and feigning injury, plus the over sanitising of the crowds and atmosphere, but little else.

Last decade football was great, it was great right up until the season before last, before VAR came in.

That last league title we won feels like the last league title won when football was football.

Now every few days I feel like some bollocks is cropping up that is making, or will make, the game worse. Too many morons are having too much influence over the game and are taking away the traditions and culture of the sport.

The fact that nobody can celebrate goals properly anymore shows how clueless the decision makers are. They’ve ruined the best thing about the game. But this shit is the rubber stamp on me (and thousands, hundreds of thousands...MILLIONS!) giving up on the game.

I’ll go and watch rugby league instead. The only thing is, while I am a big rugby league fan and a Warrington fan, I’m not a Warringtonian and have never and will never feel the same about Wire as I do about City as Im an outsider and feel like it when I go.

I hear that MANUre have not included Romero as part of their PL squad, but wouldn't sell him to EFC in the window, and these are one of the driving forces of the Euro PL. Yer might be tempted to buy a goalie of 'em, but would anyone buy a second hand club car off MANUre?

They don't give a tuppeny ha'penny shit about the game or the other clubs. They are only interesting in maximising their income. I wouldn't be too happy if we went down the same road. Thankfully we're not in the same city, but getting into what would be a great fuck off king sized bed would be the last straw.

I think Mansour would want to follow the money, but the club is there to serve the fans, and this would have such ginormous resistance from City fans I don’t see how we could possibly proceed. I think if you asked 9/10 City fans they would be extremely resistant to this. I’d stop going full stop, I’ve only been able to afford the cup games over the past 3 or 4 seasons. If we abandon the FA and League Cups for this I’d be distraught, and priced out completely.
