New European Super League Breakaway Threat

What is also worrying is the potential takeover of other Premier clubs by American owners.
In domestic rugby the best supported leagues by far are the English and French leagues. Yes they have the largest populations but the closed shop Pro 14 league without relegation is a poor product in comparison. The regions are bailed out by their respective unions.

There was nowt wrong with football. Too much diving and feigning injury, plus the over sanitising of the crowds and atmosphere, but little else.

Last decade football was great, it was great right up until the season before last, before VAR came in.

That last league title we won feels like the last league title won when football was football.

Now every few days I feel like some bollocks is cropping up that is making, or will make, the game worse. Too many morons are having too much influence over the game and are taking away the traditions and culture of the sport.

The fact that nobody can celebrate goals properly anymore shows how clueless the decision makers are. They’ve ruined the best thing about the game. But this shit is the rubber stamp on me (and thousands, hundreds of thousands...MILLIONS!) giving up on the game.

I’ll go and watch rugby league instead. The only thing is, while I am a big rugby league fan and a Warrington fan, I’m not a Warringtonian and have never and will never feel the same about Wire as I do about City as Im an outsider and feel like it when I go.
I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Tend to follow Wolves if they are on TV. I've been to a few games and enjoy it when I go. I live in Warrington but it's not my hometown, so I don't have that affinity that I have with City - I grew up and went to school within 1/2 - 2 miles of the ground.

This was mentioned several times in the CAS thread, aren’t Abu Dhabi behind this?

If they were, it would only be because we were still being successful though

in a way why would they let manchester city play in there super league without harder FFP ?
and why would city agree knowing we are never going to win it under the new rules. the euroepean super league will be under uefa laws and we all know what that means . a board made up of the elite clubs that hate manchester city

i would rather see manchester city stay in the premier league without them, there is many big clubs in england that would still make it the greatest league in the world and even ask rangers and celtic to replace them

yep they would want to be in it
but after the way manchester city have been treated by uefa and its so called elite board it makes you wonder why

Ed Woodward will be keen to get on board with this or any other guarantee of income now he has to discuss their net debt of £474million to their shareholders. But I'm sure he can spin a positive angle on their achievements and future prospects .

I suspect that the wellbeing of other clubs may be not be right at the forefront of his thoughts at the moment although as a club of great honour and tradition, they will make sure that the other little clubs are not forgotten about.

Maybe I need to have another read of the CAS thread but I understood this was the G14 against EUFA and backed by the riches of Abu Dhabi?

Do we know if Parry is anyway involved in this?
If so, that would mean that whilst working for UEFA and now the EFL he was conspiring against them.

I'm sure nobody would be surprised if that was true.

Can't believe UEFA will take this without a fight. They must have alot of dirt on the Red Shirts, there will be leaks galore.
Just hope it's not just postering again and UEFA bottle it and hand over even more money to the history clubs.
