City's head of security in 2 years time has already been aproached by the club. It is a current serving officer who works on the football side for GMP and has already done considerable work for City both home and abroad. He has also done work for England in South Africa and has been encouraged by City not to join for that period due to the fact that he is due to be promoted up to Commisioner in that period, a title that City want him to achieve before leaving the police to take on the role full time with City.

Commisioner is not a rank within GMP.

My guess is Andy Holt who is now in South Yorks, used to be GMP and was head of the police delegation in South Africa. He used to be in charge of policing at Maine Rd
