Sleeves on red & black kit look like Dennis the menace...otherwise great.
Fucking gingham tablecloth collar on the home is a complete abortion...otherwise great.
I thought Braveheart as soon as I saw it. Just imagine the English soldier on the right in black and red stripes. The loose short sleeves and collar is just gash.

True, the material's probably pretty similar too.

hate to admit it, but i do like Liverpool's 3rd kit and Chelsea's away:

must be that they both have something important in them that attracts me ;o)

........ but looks like there's a choice where to buy City kits now, not just exclusively from City: linky, but not any cheaper tho :(, JDSports selling them at a fiver cheaper than City online shop are and with cheaper delivery charges too.

City Kitbag: shirt £45 plus £4.95 delivery
JD Sports, JJB Sports: shirt £40 plus £3.99 delivery

Looking at those latest pictures Ive warmed to the home one. I wont pay full price for it, because I think £45 is a joke, but sure enough it will be about £30 for a short while and Ill get it then.

refuse to pay for £30 for a t-shirt personally ... especially when they are changing them every year almost.

bought the 10-11 home long sleeve for £25 so that will happy last 2 years before i think getting another one (unless there's a superhot one released before then, but cant see that happening with umbro/nike)

Chelsea's is terrible. Liverpool's isn't too bad though.

Liverpool's is nice but it's only that colour because it's their sponsors' primary colour...

They do have a bit of a record of having green though so I'm surprised they didn't go with that. Then the fans wouldn't be so up in arms about it. Mind you they have a march from the pub if the pies are too hot over there...

As for the Chelsea one then there's a lot of blue on their alternative to their home kit of... Blue.

Strange.

Not many of the new kits I've seen so far look very good. Barcelona's is terrible, Arsenal's would be ok if it wasn't for the ginormous badge, United's is ok, Chelsea's is dreadful, Liverpool's new away kit looks like they just made last year's worse. The only decent ones I've seen are Spurs':

They're all simple designs and look very well made.

What the fuck is "Aurasma"? It sounds like something you'd buy from the back of a porno mag.

hate our home shirt!

Have you seen it in person yet?

I though it looked pretty good on the website but was hugely disappointed when I went to buy it.

yep i sure have and i think its 10times better than the home kit

Actually got my hands on the new away shirt in my local JJB today, possibly the first time ive known any stores to sell one of our kits in doncaster. WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY MADE IT OUT OF!!!!!!!!???????
And to top my dissapointment off, i walk around the display thingy and what have they put it next to....yep you guessed it.....the rags kit.
Not a happy bunny.

What the hell is wrong with you people? The new away shirt is a thing of beauty... nothing wrong with the material it's made out of!

Must say I was shocked at how poor the away shirt looks when I saw it in the flesh today! Material feels cheap and nasty in comparison to Umbro's previous efforts and would have been horrible to wear on a day like today. The long sleeved effort is even worse - looks like a cheap 'mock top'! What's gone wrong Umbro?

The home shirt is growing on me since the higher quality pictures have leaked out but I hope it's the same material as the previous shirts or I won't be bothering with that either!

So glad we're sticking with the classy navy kit for our European exploits! Will defo be opting for some champions league printing on that bad boy! :)

I think our away top is brilliant, and I have no problems with the feel of the material.
I think maybe we've all been spoiled a bit by the kits of the last two seasons which is why there are some who aren't a fan of the 'feel' of the shirt this year, but Umbro seem to have put a lot of effort into this one as well.
I think I read earlier in the thread that for the material to be exactly the same as the previous shirts, then every stripe would have to be stitched in individually? Don't think that would have looked/felt right at all.
Overall, top effort from Umbro I feel. Again!
