New home kit?

what are we all worried about - have Umbro done us a crap kit since 2009? I don't think so.

I don't know what the obsession with this 'cotton' material is.

I'm pretty sure even thought it had the texture of a brushed cotton it wasn't cotton. I still think it had a high percentage of polyester in it. Polyester, even though it can make you a bit sweaty is a very versatile fabric.

You're right. 80% polyester and 20% cotton.
Lets not let facts get in the way of people complaining.

have faith in Umbro!

I remember when the navy away was unveiled. the reactions were very mixed. in fact, the reaction wasn't that great. many complaining about the collar and the sky blue lettering. now everyone loves it.

then the home was released. people didn't like the white sleeves and the blue collar. people thought it was too much like the previous seasons and that Umbro had no imagination. now people thing it's the best kit the team ever had.

Just got hold of the away top for the first time. Rubbish quality and very poor material. If the home top is made of the same stuff it will look even worse than the pics in reality.

Just passed a lad wearing away top and it looked crap on him (admitedly a survey of one!)

Happy that a few like it but for me it looks god awful.

Our fans do actually moan at anything they can. Oh the away kit is now shit and looks shit on other people ect. It's actually laughable.

I like the shirt hate the sleeves and people on here are saying feel and look is bad thats why i went for the 72 away its 100 percent cotton. i don`t think people hate shirt persay just quality of cloth used and sleeves. For forty whatever quid which to the ordinary man is a lot you can`t blame them, and also it`s just an opinio.

Went down today with the intention of getting on of the Cup Final shirt but the lettering would come off in a few washes so I sacked that and got a 56 Final shirt which is great and a bargain at £22.50

Also had a look and try on of the new away kit and I think it looks pretty smart. I'd much prefer the stripes to go down the sleeves like normal but that's only a small issue really as at least it's unique and looks and feels quite good. The neck also works better than I thought it would and the fact it's shorter and more tailored is also a nice feature. As for the material it's great. A proper modern football shirt material unlike the last few shirts, which were more of a cotton feel, which isn't as nice for a T shirt but better as a sports shirt... Hence why I bought the 56 shirt.

Looking forward to seeing the new kit...

save some cash..just go for this..

It's my favourite shirt ever. Iv loved the shirts from the last few seasons too but IMO this is classy and stylish...and the gold lettering just looks great. It's all personal views tho!

Release date of the new home kit will be around 17th July my contact said tonight, give or take a couple of days either side. I've had a few so can't remember the exact day.

I agree that it's a great shirt. I've been wearing mine pretty much non-stop since the day it came out. However I'm not a fan of the old-style material. I much much much prefer the nice material that the last two home shirts were made from.

Also, I'd like it if the home and away shirts had some sort of continuity, but they are so different in their design that they might as well be shirts from two entirely different clubs.

Has there been any word on the shorts and socks? One of my lads was asking last night. ("They'd better not be getting rid of the lucky maroon topped socks" was his words).
