New home shirt (confirmed)

Very much a case of not realising what you have got till its gone but I saw 2 young lads wearing City shirts yesterday, one had last seasons and the other our new one. It was only when I saw the 2 of them directly next to each other that I realised what a smart shirt we had last season. And I didn't particularly like it at the time!

I noticed that too

Didn't realise people didn't like last seasons – I really liked it... Sky blue shirts and socks with with trim, and white shorts.... PROPER City kit!!

There was a teeet posted a fee pages back showing the differences. The fan version has printed lines, the player version is actually woven with 2 different colours. It still has lines but not as defined.

I don't mind the home shirt. I's much much prefer more white on it and I generally prefer V necks or buttons so you can breath (that said a white round collar looks cool). I just wish the club understood that white shorts are absolutely non negotiable. If I was part of the club, I'd publish "our" kit requirements for some long period (10 or 20 years) - costs little but means a lot. You could do a mini referendum then to review it periodically. These are imo easy pickings in terms of PR.

The 3rd is "tangy" and that's ok for kids.

But the away is shocking.

Just taken delivery of the £90 home shirt and it is absolutely brilliant. I would go so far as to say my favourite ever City shirt. The badge is out of this world, the quality is amazing and looks absolutely stunning. I like the dark blue sleeves as I like the contrast of dark blue and light blue and it gives some additional character and design to the shirt. The attention to detail and technical quality of the shirt is also like nothing I have seen before. The dark vent down the side actually expands to reveal white webbing which presumably helps the skin to breathe. There's also tiny holes on the back I presume tomake it more breathable

I simply do not understand the moaning about the shirt, when I think back to the Kappa shirt the year we went up that was made in one size and simply drowned Paul Dickov and made out of sackcloth.

I would urge anyone to save the extra from somewhere and go for the £90 shirt. If you're rather portly I would think you would need to go a size bigger than you would normally as it is quite figure hugging, in fact the 'supporter' shirt might suit you better if you are a large frame as it has that extra 'give; in it and seems to be designed for that purpose.

Sun is out and I'm proudly wearing the new shirt, it's immense.

I know we're complaining about ours but could be worse.
