New home shirt

Doesn't bother me. I welcome a new home shirt. This season's home shirt was so similar to last season's that I went for the away shirt instead and then bought the retro 72 away to wear to cup games in celebration of Nellie.

I don't generally buy shirt, as I only wear footy tops to play footy in, so over £15 to kick a ball about in is a bit expensive.

But, i would have thought it would put you off buying one altogether if you know it's going to be out of date after 12months.

Why can't they cycle it, like, new third kit one year, then the away, then home, then start again, so minimum of 3 years. People would get more wear and would be more likely to buy one.

City/Umbro wouldnt make as much money then.

Im personally hoping the away kit is either maroon with white pinstripes or like the wembley 99 shirt because I think those are iconic City away colours. Not a fan of the red and black even though we had good times playing in them. Firstly I dont like the colour red and secondly its a rip off of AC Milan and I dont think we need to be ripping anyone off anymore. I know not everyone will agree but thats just my opinion

Wembley 99 is iconic but the shirt colour and design was complete gash. Like a Ben Sherman shirt on acid

That's funny, because the designs i've been shown defo says away well actually 'change' under the white one!

I've seen the red and black one. Could be the 3rd, not fucked if its 2nd or 3rd but theres a red and black one on the way.

I'd be chuffed if we had a red and black away strip, it would probably sell better than the 2nd strip from last year.

Our first strip is sky blue and white and if we have a red and black striped kit, why do we need a third kit?
Who plays in anything that would clash with both of those?

I read somewhere official that the red & black doesn't sell like some of the others - but perhaps the Neil Young tributes might buck the trend.
